The Sault College Health Centre is located in A Wing, Room A0170. Our services are free or low cost and completely confidential. We can be reached at (705) 759-2554 ext. 2720 or 2691.
We are open from daily Monday to Friday
The Health Centre is staffed by a Registered Nurse, a Secretary and a Manager.
The Health Centre assists students by providing:
- Referrals and transportation to walk-in clinics at Hospital.
- First aid treatment for injuries and emergencies.
- Assessment of illness or injury, with referrals if necessary.
- Treatment of minor illness.
- Immunization clinics, TB Skin tests, Tetanus/Diphtheria, and Hepatitis B vaccines are available. A minimal administration fee is applied (appointments are necessary).
- Sexual health and family planning counselling.
- Ontario Health and other medical insurance information and
registration forms. - Workplace Safety and Insurance Board reports for students on unpaid placement.
- Appropriate assistance to students with conditions that limit mobility or require special attention (students must identify themselves in order to obtain these services). Elevator keys are dispensed through the Health Centre.
- Information and education about any health concerns you may have and what local services are available (also see our Links page for local services).
- Health promotion and wellness programs throughout the school year (Watch for our smoking cessation program coming next year).
